The Mine Hill Township School District is governed by a seven-member Board of Education. Board members are elected to three-year terms and are responsible for managing the district's operations in accordance with state laws and regulations set by the New Jersey Department of Education.
 
The Board typically meets once (or occasionally twice) a month on Mondays, with meetings beginning at 6:30 PM (public session at 7:00 PM). Meeting schedules, including dates, times, and locations, are announced in advance in accordance with New Jersey’s Sunshine Law. The Board’s duties include establishing school policies, approving personnel appointments, adopting budgets, approving curriculum, awarding bids, and, in certain cases, making final decisions on controversial issues.

Culture and Climate
  • Develop a comprehensive strategic plan for the Mine Hill School District by June 2025, focused on enhancing academic achievement, strengthening community engagement, and optimizing resources to ensure a safe, inclusive, and future-ready learning environment for all students.  
Students Achievement/Instruction
  • Boost student proficiency in Math and ELA focusing on closing achievement gaps for Special Education, ML, and economically disadvantaged students.   
Finance/ Facilities
  • To continue to effectively schedule, manage, and oversee remaining approved bond referendum maintenance projects, in an effort to provide modern, safe, and conducive learning environments while also proactively developing and updating the district’s long-range facility plan for future projects. 
Technology
  • Provide ongoing professional development to enhance educators' data literacy and integration of analytics into daily teaching practices.
 
Board Goals 
  • To continue to raise public awareness and appreciation for the district
  • To achieve the master level board certification (Achieved!)
  • Prepare for teacher negotiations for 2025-26 
  • Develop long range facility plan
